CALLING ALL CURRENT AND FORMER ATTRACTIONS CMs

I’m doing a little research about what it’s like to work Attractions in WDW. All Attractions, too, not just rides.

If you’d like to help me out, please answer the following questions either in my inbox or when reblogging this post.

1. What is/was your Attraction(s)?

2. Did you like your area?

3. Best thing about working at your Attraction?

4. Worst thing about working your Attraction?

5. If you’ve worked at more than one location, which was your favorite and least favorite. Bonus points for why!

Thank you in advance!

1. I currently work at Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

2. Yes!!!!! Icon Attractions is a great area of attractions!

3. So many of the guests are so into Star Wars, and it makes the theming so much fun! They get so into it!! It’s great!

4. Checking heights is my least favorite part. Sometimes kids can get pretty upset when they’re not tall enough (or worse - their parents will get upset because they somehow got on a ride with the same height requirement and they’re definitely not tall enough).

5. Not Applicable!

Hope this helped!! :)

It most certainly did! You know, I work FP+ at Studios. There’s a chance we might have walked past each other once or twice (wow, that sounds creepy. Totally don’t mean to sound creepy).

1. What is/was your Attraction(s)?

2….

1. What is/was your Attraction(s)?
-Stitch Complex (Stitch’s great escape, Tomorrowland transit authority peoplemover and the Astro Orbitor) Cross trained at Buzz Complex (Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress)

2. Did you like your area?
I love my area. Great cast, relaxed atmosphere and a mixture of easier and challenging attractions to work with.

3. Best thing about working at your Attraction?
I love spieling at Astro, Carousel and Stitch. It’s a ton of fun to be inside monsters watching the shows. There’s a lot of opportunities for quest interaction.

4. Worst thing about working your Attraction?
Getting the hang of dealing with an Omnimovers (Particually TTA) can be a bit challenging. You have a short amount of time to load guests. The position can get stressful easily. (Also I hate strollers and dealing with height requirements and Fastpass merge)

5. If you’ve worked at more than one location, which was your favorite and least favorite. Bonus points for why!

Favorite to least favorite to work at:
1.Carousel of Progress
2.Monsters Inc
3.Astro
4.Stitch
5. The omnimovers

Thank you for answering!

1. What is/was your Attraction(s)?

EPCOT’s Mission: Space and Ellen’s Energy Adventure

2. Did you like your area?

I am currently working there and I really do. So much so that I drive an hour to get to work.

3. Best thing about working at your Attraction?

I’m basically a carnie, lol. I work with some awesome people.

4. Worst thing about working your Attraction?

Guests can be a pain but so can the people who work there. Everything we do is safety critical, so it’s downright terrifying to see a fellow cm doing something wrong.

5. If you’ve worked at more than one location, which was your favorite and least favorite. Bonus points for why!

I prefer Space because it’s laid back and our space suits are extremely comfy. Energy is very slow paced and there are only four positions. Some days I get stuck at greeter all day there. :(

I’m hearing some great things about that side of Future World! I’m glad you’re enjoying working there!

zacharyquintoisgay asked: Sorry I only saw question 1&2! I would say the best thing is being able to see the guests actually getting involved in the cruise and laughing at the jokes. The worst is when you have a whole boat that doesn't speak English or is very rude/disruptive

Jungle Cruise jokes are the best! Why wouldn’t people laugh?? Thanks for sharing!

zacharyquintoisgay asked: I work at The Jungle Cruise in Adventureland and although I've been there for a short time, it has been the best experience I've ever had. Best location I've worked at Disney.

alyblogsherfeelings asked: My attraction is Main Street Ops! (It's technically an attraction) I work PAC right now (actually training in it) and I already love it! You can get cross trained in other areas though such as the Main Street vehicles and the train! Also you can work Town Square Theater or Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. The best part of PAC is getting to see all the parades and have lots of guest interactions. The only negative is every blue moon you get a super rude guest. Anyone can pick up PAC shifts too!

I hear a lot of good things about Main Street Ops. Glad you’re enjoying it!

Thank you for sharing!

I see a lot of Merch CM’s complaining about sweaty boob/sock money, and yes, you are right and I feel you babes but, have we even forgotten of …

S W E A T Y   T O U R   G R O U P   C R O T C H   P O C K E T   M O N E Y

OH MY GOD YES

The first time this ever happened to me I was at the hot dog cart in Frontierland and this Brazilian man starts to unbutton his pants and reach inside and I thought, “Dear lord, this man is about to flash me.”

Instead he was going for his fanny pack (which are made of thin, white material that totally looks like underwear, btw) and pulled out not one, not two, but seven empty gift cards before he finally paid me with a credit card.
